Nepal – Visiting once is not enough
 
Nepal has many different things to offer for sightseeing. The natural beauty & Himalayan views, culture & traditions, historical monuments, art & architecture, Temples, Stupas & Monasteries, Myths & mysteries which is a part of daily Nepalese life.

Mountain Flight

Trekking

Paragliding
Paragliding in Nepal can be a truly wonderful and fulfilling experience for the adventure-seeker. You can experience unparalleled scenic grandeur as you share airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles, kites, while floating over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungles, with a fantastic view of the majestic Himalayas. The last three years have seen the activity flourish in Pokhara and it now is an internationally recognized destination for free-flight enthusiasts.

Wildlife
A trip to Nepal is incomplete if you have not been on a jungle safari. While the mountains of the north boast some of the highest and most magnificent peaks in the world, the tropical jungles of the Terai still preserve some of the best wildlife habitat in the subcontinent. Some of these rich wildlife habitats are now protected and can be toured on elephant back, 4WD, dugout canoe or on foot accompanied by a licensed guide. Nepal has sixteen national parks, wildlife reserves and conservation areas, occupying 16% of its total geographical area. Jungle safaris on elephant back or Jeep rides are offered at the Parsa Wildlife Reserve, Bardia National Park, Chitwan National Park and the Suklaphanta wildlife reserve.

Entertainment
With the thrills of outdoor activities Nepal also offers city fun for its visitors. While visitors enjoy the rustic by simply beholding spectacular sights and partaking in the activities of exotic cultures, in cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara some entertainment is on par with western world. Visitors have a choice from a potpourri of amusements. They can participate in cultural shows that include theater and local art; wine and dine at premier hotels providing excellent service; enjoy music and dance at newly-opened discotheques; try a luck at rummy or blackjack at one of the casinos; enjoy a game of golf in Himalayan serenity; or just stroll down one of Kathmandu’s old cobbled lanes.

Oman Air Announces New Destinations
 

Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman will fly to 4 more destinations in Asia and Africa in this year.

Oman Air during this Summer season is launching 4 new routes: 4 weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur from 01MAY10, 4 weekly flights to Lahore effective from 10MAY10, 3 weekly flights to Islamabad effective from  16MAY10, as well as 4 weekly flights to Dar es Salaam from 01JUN10.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines published their Baggage policy
 

Biman’s policy for transportation of checked baggage coming under weight concept are as follows:-

  • Any passenger (Adult/Child) may carry only two pieces of baggage.
  • The dimension of each piece must not exceed 62 inches or 158 cm in its height, length or width.
  • The weight of the individual piece must be within 32 kg and total weight of the two pieces must be within free baggage allowance of 50 kg, even if no hand baggage.
  • The policy of Hand baggage will remain the same as maximum of 7 kg

bmi implements Paperless boarding & Mobile check-in
 
British Midland International has recently launched an innovative new Paperless Boarding system, allowing the passenger to check-in online for bmi flights and to have their boarding pass delivered electronically to their mobile phone or PDA. The new paperless system, will deliver a two-dimensional barcode boarding pass to mobile phones with picture messaging (MMS) capabilities.bmi also offer Mobile Check-in, which enables passenger to complete the entire check-in process from a mobile device. The boarding pass is sent to passenger’s mobile device as an MMS message, in exactly the same way as Paperless boarding. To access Mobile Check-in, we’ll simply need to access www.flybmi.com from the mobile phone or PDA.
