Pick up at the hotel in Hanoi and transfer 160 km east to Halong. Upon arrival board Huong Hai junk for an unforgettable cruise. Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes such as Thien Cung and Dau Go. Enjoy a seafood lunch on board.

| Transfer to the airport for early morning flight to Hue. Upon arrival drive on Nation Route 1A to the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) around paralell 17 North, the former border between North and South Vietnam until the collapse of the Saigon Regime in 1975. The DMZ was created in April 1954 as a result of the Geneva Conference ending the war between the Viet Minh and the French, extends 5 km north and south of the Ben Hai River and runs approximately 100 km from the East Sea to the Laos border. On the way to Dong Hoi visit also the nearby tunnels of Vinh Moc, built by the people from the nearby villages to shelter from the American attacks. Unlike the tunnels in Cu Chi in the south, the complex of Vinh Moc did not suffer any modification for tourist purposes.Continue to Dong Hoi. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. |

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to visit the Phong Nha – Ke National Park to admire the UNESCO Heritage Site of Phong Nha Caves. There are around 65 km of caves and underground rivers in this area Take a boat ride on the Son River to spectacular Phong Nha Caverns including Bi Ky Cave & Cung Dinh Cave. Picnic lunch en route and drive back to Hue (about 4 hours – 190 km) in the afternoon.

Note: Underground cave might be closed when the water level is high, especially during November and December. Access to the Dry cave requires climbing almost 600 steps. Be aware of the challenge it may require for some people and wear comfortable shoes if you plan to visit it |

Take a boat cruise along the romantic Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest ancient architectural structures for religious worship in Hue, then visit the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 and Dong Ba market. Lunch at local restaurant.In the afternoon, visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh, and stop en route to see an incense-stick making village where they also produce some conical hats. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight at the hotel. |

| Breakfast at hotel. Depart Hue for Danang across the Hai Van Pass, passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. Visit the Cham Museum and proceed to Hoi An. Lunch in a local restaurant before checking in at the hotel.
In the afternoon take a walking tour of Hoi An, discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Visit Hoi An colourful local market, Tan Ky old house, Fukien Assembly Hall, and the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge. Travellers can also see local residents raise silkworms and produce silk for Hoi An's burgeoning textile industry. Dinner and overnight at the hotel |

Morning drive 40 km Southwest of Hoi An for a half day trip to visit the capital and religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom, My Son, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries spread over a lush green valley. Lunch at local restaurant, transfer to Danang’s airport for departure in the afternoon. |
