Today’s visits in Hanoi include Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and the whole October-November for maintenance) and his modeste residence, the One-Pillar Pagoda and the Army Museum (closed on Mondays. May need to skip this visit or change it by another one). Lunch at a local restaurant.Drive to Halong in the afternoon (170 km east of Hanoi – 3 ½ hours). Dinner and accommodation at hotel. |

Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea” as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. A 4-hour boat trip will bring you to some caves. Seafood lunch on board before returning to Halong City. Drive back to Hanoi late afternoon. Dinner and accommodation at hotel. |

| Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Hue, the royal city of Vietnam’s last ruling dynasty. Arrival in Hue, transfer to downtown. Lunch at local restaurant. Take a dragon boat on Huong river, passing Dong Ba market to Thien Mu Pagoda then visit the ruins of the royal residence at the Imperial Citadel. Lunch at local restaurant.In the afternoon depart Hue for Hoi An crossing Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean Clouds), passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. Visit the Cham Museum in Danang and proceed to Hoi An. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel |

Half day city tour to discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Coach trip to Cai Be (2 ½ hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City) and embark a wooden boat for the trip to Vinh Long. Visit first the canal where the colorful floating market of Cai Be takes place and then see locals producing rice popcorn and other sweets. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. In the afternoon continue along fruit orchards in narrow canals to the city of Vinh Long on the other side of the Mekong River. Transfer by coach to Can Tho and check in at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation at hotel. |

Early morning boat trip to visit Cai Rang floating market. Afterwards visit a fruit orchard and taste the tropical fruits of the Mekong Delta. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon (4 hours). Lunch en route. Dinner and accommodation at hotel. |

Visit Chinatown, Thien Hau Pagoda, the History Museum (in case this visit falls on Monday we will visit the War Remnants Museum instead)and make a quick photo stop at the former Presidential Palace.
Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon drive to Cu Chi (75 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City) to visit an amazing complex of underground tunnels used by the Vietcong Rebels during the American war. Return Ho Chi Minh City.
