Drive 75 km to Hoa Binh (around 2hrs driving time). Take a boat trip on Da reservoir, visit some ethnic minority villages surrounded by rice paddies, farms and houses-on-stilts. Discover Halong Bay, listed as World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty. The picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Take a 4-hour boat trip and visit some of the caves. Visit the Imperial Citadel and Tu Duc Mausoleum then depart to Danang across the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean Clouds), passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. Drive to Danang and transfer to the airport for flight to Nha Trang. Visit Po Nagar Cham Towers, a sacred Hindu site dating back from the 2nd century AD. The tower was built between the 7th and 12th centuries and is still used today as a place of pilgrimage for the Cham and Vietnamese Buddhists. Continue the sightseeing at Long Son Pagoda. Depart Nha Trang for Dalat, a cool mountain resort. Visit to “CRAZY HOUSE” on the way. Dalat is one of the most enjoyable places in Vietnam due tu its lakes, waterfall, evergreen forests, gardens and cool temperature. Upon arrival in Dalat we will visit the summer Palace of the Emperor Bao Dai, Xuan Huong Lake and the old train station. Accommodation. |

Pick up at the hotel for the excursion to Tay Ninh church, center of the Cao-Daism religion which combines Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. Lunch en route. Visit Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of the underground tunnels used during the Vietnam war.
*Alternative programme: Coach trip to My Tho (2-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City) and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. My Tho is a prosperous town of 170,000 inhabitants in the Mekong Delta. It is famous for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River and visit an orchard on an island, with lunch en route. Drive back Ho Chi Minh City.
