| Arrival at Athens International Airport. Meet & transfer to hotel. Later can have free time to discover the center of Athens Syntagma square with its beautiful shopping area and restaurants. ( Optional Athens by night tour that which starts with a drive to Piraeus and its natural harbours, such as lively Zea with its busy yacht marina and tiny Mikrolimano, one of the most picturesque corners of Piraeus. Then, return to Athens for dinner in Plaka, the old city, in a typical Greek tavern with folk music and dancers. ) Overnight at hotel in Athens. (B) |

| Breakfast at hotel. Then proceed for the Athens City tour, which take you to see the center of the city. Contitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. Driving down Herod Atticus Street to see the Evzones in their picturesque uniform and the Presidential Palace. Later on the way to the acropolis, see the Hadrian Arch, visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896. The Acropolis visit includes the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens such as the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erectheion and finally “ the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “ puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon. Rest of the day at leisure ( Optional Full day Delphi or Argolis tour: Drive through the fertile plain of Beotia, crossing the towns of Thebes connected with the tragedy of kings Oedipus – Levadia and Archova. Arrive at Delphi, the center of Ancient World – the “Omphalos” (Navel of Earth) – whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic World. On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios. Vsit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing such master pieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias. Lunch in the modern village of Delphi, return to Athens by the same route.) Overnight at hotel in Athens. (B) |
