| We set off for a drive through Runnymede, where the Magna Carta was sealed. We will see Windsor Castle as we continue via Salisbury Plain to Stonehenge. Next we view magnificent Salisbury Cathedral, with the tallest spire in Britain. Then we drive through Thomas Hardy country to Plymouth, the port of departure for the Pilgrim Fathers. Here we will enjoy a Welcome Drink and dinner with our Tour Director and fellow travelling companions. (D) |

| Today's journey skirts Dartmoor National Park and takes us to Glastonbury where we visit the Abbey ruins. Then to historic Bath where an orientation tour includes a visit to the Roman Baths. We continue to our overnight hotel in Bristol. (B) |

| A scenic drive through the Cotswolds to Stow-on-the-Wold. We continue to Stratford-upon-Avon, to visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and view Ann Hathaway’s cottage. Then we visit the Wedgwood Pottery Centre before arriving in Chester, where our Tour Director shows us the city walls, Tudor ‘Rows’ and a Hidden? Treasure! Finally to our hotel. (B) |

| We drive to the English Lake District. Then across the Yorkshire Dales to York and a walking tour to visit the ‘Shambles’, see the Mansion House, Stonegate and Petergate, and of course the magnificent Minster. Later we enjoy a Farewell Dinner together. (B, D) |

| This morning we pass by the area of Sherwood Forest, associated with the legendary hero, Robin Hood. Then on to Cambridge where we will see the magnificent architecture of Kings College Cathedral. We are back in London by the early evening. (B) |
